Hello and welcome. I’m a freelance funeral director & celebrant, writer, speaker and facilitator, passionate about helping us reconnect with death as a natural, meaningful part of life.
My Approach: Rewilding Death
I believe in bringing death back to life – engaging with our mortality, our death rites and our grief work. Rewilding Death means:
Remembering our place in the great cycle of life and death here on Earth
Revering and restoring nature as our source of healing, belonging and awe
Reclaiming and reinventing our death rites with meaningful, personalised ceremonies
How I Can Help
As a funeral director & celebrant, I create contemporary, eco-friendly ceremonies that honour both the person and our planet. Whether you're planning ahead, facing an imminent loss or seeking ways to mark other significant life transitions, I offer compassionate guidance rooted in nature's wisdom.
Beyond funerals, I love sharing my ideas and having conversations about all things death – through writing, speaking and workshops.
You can listen to me discussing a healthy attitude to death on BBC Radio 4’s Moral Maze.

Funerals
I can support through the whole cycle, from the end of someone’s life through to the funeral arrangements and celebration. I look after everything personally, giving as much or as little support as you want.
Other rituals & ceremonies
Whatever you’re celebrating, honouring or processing, I’ll work closely with you to create simple rituals or a fuller ceremony,

About me
I’ve been a writer for over two decades, contributing to national magazines and newspapers, journals, charity websites and more. In 2015, needing support in my own life, I began working with plant medicines and shamanic practices, which led me to train as a goddess-priestess in Glastonbury. We learned rituals to honour life’s gateways, and I was especially inspired by those around death and other endings. I started by facilitating death cafes, then trained as a soul midwife (similar to a death doula) at the Soul Midwives School, as a celebrant at the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, and as a holistic funeral director with award-winning funeral director, Holly Lyon-Hawk.
I’m an environmental activist and co-founder of a community climate hub, and the natural world is at the heart of everything I do. Nothing can bring solace like nature, and I work with earth-based rituals as a way of helping us deepen our connection with the natural world, finding support in grief and motivating us to look after our precious planet.
I live in Kingston-upon-Thames (with my two gorgeous cats) and arrange funerals throughout London, Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent. With my other services, I can often support virtually and may be able to travel to you.
